DepowerBall’s Road to Early Access – Part 3: Detour in Detroit/TOJam

Hey folks!

For those of you that are still in your homes during this time, I hope you all are doing well and finding things to keep up the time.

First and foremost, if you haven’t seen yet, I’ve been running community streams on Twitch showing off the latest updates of DepowerBall! You can tune in every Thursday night at https://twitch.tv/megapower_games to see the latest updates and interact with us live!

I’ve been working with a fantastic animator over the past few weeks to get some new animations for the characters to make them pop. You’ll see the beginnings of that if you tune in this week!

If you keep up with the history of DepowerBall, you’ll know that the original prototype was created at TOJam in 2018. In 2019 there was no event, and 2020 was looking in jeopardy until it was announced that TOJam 2020 will be going virtual! So this weekend, I will be participating once again in TOJam, and this time I’m bringing along some new friends. I met Jordan and Travis a few years ago at Conbravo. I became enamoured with their pixel art and always wondered what we could create together if given the chance. Call it serendipity, luck, or whatever, but we will now be jumping in feet first into the jam pool together (along with resident lunatic/Director of Fun Fabio).

More Power? More power.

More Power? More power.

Because of that, I will be also running streams all weekend so you can follow along and watch as a game gets made before your eyes!

Keep an eye on twitter, but we’ll be broadcasting live at https://twitch.tv/megapower_games.

And if you haven’t already, please wishlist DepowerBall here.

Depending on the timing…next post might have an announcement as to when you will be able to get hands on with DepowerBall.
